Cruise days are busy, and the port understands that many people aren’t sure exactly where they should go. In 2024, Princess Cruises will begin to homeport the iconic “love boat” cruise ship, the Caribbean Princess, at Port Canaveral. It will offer Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. Expedited check-in desks are on the ground (first floor) level of the terminal with scanning stations, U.S. customs desks and passport control. Elevators, ramps and escalators transport cruisers and their hand luggage to the second floor where they will go through the check-in process. The port’s north side has three large turning basins for these huge ships to turn around before exiting past Jetty Park and into Canaveral Bight and the Atlantic Ocean.

Royal Caribbean International Cruise Terminal 10
The Port Canaveral Cruise Port has five main cruise terminals, with the new Terminal 3 scheduled to debut. This terminal is ready and waiting to process passengers sailing on the brand new Carnival Mardi Gras once cruising resumes. The “A” terminal is where the large cruise ships — Disney, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival — make their home. You will take this exit to your right and make a large loop around. Once you make the loop, you will see the cruise ships almost directly ahead of you.

Currently, Carnival plans to have Elation, Liberty, and Magic sailing from this cruise port. Once you turn, we suggest staying in the left two lanes. This will take you through a point where you can drop off passengers or luggage. From there, you will see the parking area on your left.

Located in Brevard County, midway down Florida’s East Coast, Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal is just 46 miles east of Orlando International Airport. The SR-528 toll road, also known as the Bee Line or Beachline Expressway, makes the journey quick and easy, taking motorists less than 45 minutes to go from city to coast. The journey from Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral is about 45 miles and takes at least 45 minutes for the trip. The best way to drive from Orlando to Port Canaveral Cruise Terminals is on SR-528 (Beachline Expressway), a toll road. There is a smooth security and check-in process using screens within the Embarkation Hall. The waiting area has restrooms and 1,200 airport-style seats and benches.
If you've got an upcoming cruise from a Port Canaveral cruise terminal in Florida, here's where each is located, amenities, and more. If driving to the port, the address to use is 1152 Royal Caribbean Way. For other transportation options to Cruise Terminal 10, you can see our Galveston transportation page here. Cruise Terminal 10 sits about a mile east of the other terminals. The entrance is at the intersection of Harborside Drive and Royal Caribbean Way (which is 14th Street south of Harborside).
Port Canaveral is currently homeport to 20 ships, including Carnival, Disney, MSC, Norwegian (NCL), Royal Caribbean and Marella Cruises. Carnival Cruise Line is the longest of any of the cruise partners and has been sailing out of Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal since 1990. All the main cruise lines use Port Canaveral as their homeport for some of their ships. These include Carnival Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, and Royal Caribbean International. Some Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) cruises also sail from Terminal 10.
There are limited wheelchairs available for passenger assistance. If you require a wheelchair throughout the duration of your cruise, we recommend that you contact your cruise line for wheelchair rentals and further assistance. If you're planning to drive to Port Canaveral from points north and south, take I-95 to North Atlantic Avenue in Cape Canaveral, and turn left onto North Atlantic Avenue. If you're coming from points east, such as Orlando, take State Road 528 to Port Canaveral, then use Exit 54A for A Terminals or Exit 54B for B Terminals.

A few restrooms are also available within parking garages. Porters are available at each cruise terminal to assist with luggage. Passenger and luggage drop off is available in front of the terminals.
If your cruise isn’t with Carnival, then you’ll have to find another lot. For all lots it’s a good idea to reserve and pay online ahead of time. Not only does this guarantee you a parking spot, but online reservations usually have a discount off the “drive-up” price. We also have a listing of coupons (up to $15 off!) here. When it comes to Galveston cruise parking, you have lots of options on where to park while you take your trip. Galveston is a Texas tourist hotspot as it offers a lot to do and a completely different atmosphere than the rest of the state.
Hotels with Cruise ParkingAs a tourist destination, Galveston offers a lot of hotels for visitors to choose. In the competition for business, these hotels look to provide guests with perks to attract those about to take a cruise. For cruisers flying in, shuttles pick up and drop off at both airports. For Terminal 25 and Terminal 28, Lot A (160 33rd Street) and Lot B (224 33rd Street) offer free shuttle bus service for cruisers both to and from the terminal.
That’s because the nearest major airports are in Houston. The Port does not own or operate any off-site parking facilities. Though, independent off-site parking lots can be a cheaper option. This will entail taking a shuttle from the lot to the cruise terminal. On your left you will see the parking garage and parking lots. The new CT-3 terminal is the largest single-construction project ever at the port.
The North Lot also has a premium section for covered parking. If you are driving to the Port Canaveral Cruise Port, the Official Port Canaveral Cruise Parking is the most convenient option available. This “official” cruise parking is the only area directly adjacent to each of Port Canaveral’s cruise terminals. There are also several independent shuttle options.
As well, see if the lots offer an option to walk to the port instead of taking a shuttle and potentially save money. Galveston Park N CruiseIt doesn’t get much closer to the port than with this parking lot. It is among the closet independent lots to the port (Terminals 25/28), located just across Harborside Drive.

Cruise Terminal 10 is primarily utilized by Norwegian Cruise Line’s ships. The Getaway will begin sailing from this terminal in April of 2023 and the Jade and Epic will join them in 2024. Port Canaveral is divided into two sections by the shipping channel. The northern end of the channel is home to Cruise Terminals 5, 6, 8, and 10.
Additionally, Hollywood Studios is home to the new Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, and Animal Kingdom has Pandora- The World of Avatar. Packages start at a flat fee of $55, plus $5 for each additional traveler. For a week-long cruise for two, this would be over 50% savings. According to Norwegian Cruise Line’s website, Norwegian Escape is the only ship currently scheduled to sail from Port Canaveral once cruising resumes. Still, if you’re unfamiliar with the area getting to your ship can be a little confusing.
Cruise Hive was established back in 2008 and among the earliest blogs in the industry. Since the start, it's been our aim to provide the latest cruise news covering all the major cruise lines. Port Canaveral continues to expand with proposals for a new cruise terminal that would open in late 2026 on the port’s south side.
